It seems that many people are looking for gift cards where the recipient can use the money more toward necessities than wants. Even while retailers may find the number of cards decreased there is still a very good reason for them to be optimistic. This is due to an annual holiday survey by the research company Deloitte. Results of this study show that gift cards are still the top choice for gift giving and that above all the amount consumers generally put on the card will far exceed that of years past.
