Looking for a silver lining in those relentless business expenditures? Look no further. Small business credit cards that offer rewards or cash back incentives effectively give you a 1% to 1.5% discount on all your business spending. Over a year, that can add up to significant savings.

To maximize earnings, consider adding your employees as additional cardholders, so that all your business expenditures are charged to the same card account. You can give each employee a preset spending limit to minimize the risk of fraud.

If your business has a good cash flow and you’re able to pay the balance in full each month, look for a credit card that has the best cash back offering. Read the fine print to determine which card offers the highest cash back in the categories where you have the greatest expenditures. If your business puts a lot of expenditures on the card you can accumulate substantial rewards over time. But do make sure you pay off the balance on the card each month, as the interest charges otherwise quickly would undermine your savings.

Many business credit cards have no limit to the cash back or rewards you can earn. This is an added bonus if you put a lot of business expenditures on the card. To maximize your rewards you may opt for charge cards that have higher spending limits. These cards have no limits on point accumulation, and they are also extremely versatile. You can redeem earnings for travel rewards, merchandise, and other rewards for your business.
