The practice of adding a person with no credit or bad credit as an authorized user on the account of someone with good credit. This helps boost the credit score of the new authorized user, because the account holder's credit information appears on the authorized user's credit report. Although the authorized user may charge with the card, it is the account holder who is responsible for paying the balance.
